Giant Ant and Prey, A very large ant in the process of eati…

A very large ant in the process of eating a bug of some sort. Photographed on the grounds of the Grand Sirenis resort, on the Riviera Maya, in Mexico. This is a 1:1 macro with a very slight crop, so I estimate that this ant must be at least 14-15mm in body length - huge! Tamron SP Di 90mm F/2.8 (272E) and off-camera Yongnuo YN-560 III flash.
